Traditional Touches

This somewhat modern house’s new owners wanted various renovations. With each one, they hoped that the home would begin to fit in with its wooded surroundings in a more traditional manner. At one end, a new office echoes adjacent cathedral ceilings while utilizing less aggressive window shapes.  At the other end, a new 2-story addition features traditional windows and a stone fireplace exposed both inside and out. Between this and a new garage, a pergola furthers the rustic effect.  And, at the heart of the home, a kitchen remodel simply draws the eye down from existing ceilings to bold and earthy wood tones below.
